Apple and Oatmeal Breakfast Recipe
4 to 5 c of apples; peeled & sliced thinly
2 Tbsps of flour
1/3 c of white sugar
1/3 c of raisins
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
2/3 c of oatmeal
3 Tbsps of butter
3/4 c of brown sugar
Mix the flour together with white sugar in a medium-sized bowl. Toss in the apples. Coat it with the flour mixture. Add in raisins, oatmeal and cinnamon. Pour a cup of water into the crockpot.
Add the apple and raisin mix. Stir in butter and brown sugar. Cover with lid. Set heat to low. Cook ’til apples are tender (4-6 hours).
May be served warm over breakfast with fresh milk and additional sugar (as you would serve oatmeal).
