Broccoli and Mushroom Recipe

1 Tbsp of butter
1 package of broccoli (frozen, 10 oz); chopped, blanched & drained
2 ribs of celery; diced
1 pc of onion (medium, white); chopped
3/4 stick of margarine
1 canned cream of mushroom soup
1 canned mushroom pieces (medium)
1 canned water chestnuts; sliced
2 tsps of Worcestershire sauce
2 rolls of garlic cheese

Place a small nonstick skillet with butter over medium heat. When the butter melts, fry onion and celery for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.

Transfer the onion and celery mixture into the crockpot together with the broccoli. Pour the mushroom soup into the crockpot; and then add the cheese and sliced mushrooms. Stir ’til well-blended.

Cover with lid. Set crockpot control to low. Cook – stirring occasionally – ’til cheese melts; and then stir in Worcestershire sauce, and water chestnuts. Cover and cook for 30 minutes more.

Serve as topping for crusty bread or potato chips.
