Sweet And Sour Shrimp Recipe
1 (6 oz.) pkg. of frozen pea-pods (Chinese style), partially thaw them
3 tbsps. of sugar
2 tbsps. Vinegar (cider)
2 tbsps. of cornstarch
1 (13-oz) can of drained pineapple tidbits/chunks, set the juice aside
1 c. of water (boiling)
1/2 c. of pineapple syrup from the can of pineapple tidbits/chunks
1 pc. chicken cube
1/2 teaspoon of ginger (ground)
2 tsps. soy sauce
2 (4.5-oz.) cans of drained and rinsed shrimps
Fluffy cooked rice
Put the pineapples and Chinese pea-pods inside your Crockpot. On a saucepan, mix together sugar and cornstarch. Also chicken cube should be dissolved in some heated water then add in pineapple juice, ginger and soy sauce.
Bring mixture to boiling then stir it up & cook the sauce further for another minute just until it thickens and turns transparent/
Slowly incorporate the sauce into the pineapples & pea-pods. Cook covered at low settings for around 4-6 hrs. Prior to serving to your guests, add in vinegar and shrimps and mix slowly so that the shrimps won’t break up and serve it on hot cooked rice.
Makes 4-5 servings (around 1.5 -qts.).
Pizza Dip Recipe
1 block of softened cream cheese
1 package of cheese, grated
1 bottle/jar of pizza-sauce
1 package of pepperoni, sliced
1 sm. can of olives, chopped
1 med. chopped onion
Evenly spread out your cream cheese on the bottom part of your Crockpot. In a bowl, blend together pepperoni, olives, onions and sauce together then layer the mixture atop layered out cream cheese. Finish with a sprinkling of grated cheese.
Cook at low settings until cheese has melted at the top. Best served together with some chips (tortilla). You actually have the liberty to add more toppings or take out some depending on your preference.
Crockpot Clam and Vegetable Chowder Recipe I
2 canned minced clams (6.5 oz); drained & liquid reserved
1 cup of onion; minced
1 cup of celery; chopped
1/4 tsp of ground black pepper
1/4 tsp of salt
2 canned cream of potato soup (condensed, 10.75 oz)
1 tsp of white sugar
1 cup of milk powder (non-fat, dry)
3 c. of water; divided
1/3 cup of all-purpose flour
1 c of carrots; diced
2 cup of potatoes; pared & cut into half-inch cubes
4 bacon slices; cooked crisp, drained, & crumbled
A dash of paprika
Drain the clams. Transfer to a medium-sized bowl. Cover with cling wrap and chill. Reserve the liquid.
Combine the clam liquid, 2 cups of water, cubed potatoes, chopped onions, chopped celery, carrots, salt, white sugar, cream of potato soup, and pepper in a crockpot. Mix well. Cover with lid. Set heat to low. Cook for 6-8 hours, stirring occasionally.
About an hour into cooking the soup, mix the nonfat powdered milk, all-purpose flour, and remaining cup of water into a medium-sized bowl. Whisk well ’til smooth.
Pour this into the soup together with the clams. Put the lid back. Set heat to high. Cook ’til soup thickens (about 10-15 minutes), stirring constantly.
Ladle the soup into individual soup bowls; and then sprinkle with paprika and bacon bits prior to serving.

Crockpot Swiss Steak Recipe
1.5-2 lbs. steak (round)
1 tbsp. bottled thick steak sauce
1 pc. celery stalks, sliced thin
1 pc. green bell pepper, sliced
2 tbsps. flour
2 tbsps. salad-oil
1 teaspoon of salt
1 big onion, cut in slices
1 (16-oz.)can of tomatoes, sliced up
1/8 tsp. of pepper
Steak should be sliced in serving sized pcs. Next, coat them with pepper, salt & flour. On a skillet, heat oil then brown up the meat then drain off excess fat.
Get your slow cooker then add in browned meat, steak sauce, green bell pepper, onions and tomatoes. Cook, covered, at low settings for about 6-8 hrs. or just until everything has softened up.
If you want the sauce thicker, then add in more flour that has been dissolving in hot water.
This recipes serves 5-6 and it is best served together with some mashed up potatoes.
Low-Fat Chicken & Veggie Bake Recipe
8 pcs. skinned & boned chicken breast
2 regular-sized cans of drained potatoes (whole)
A tsp. of powdered garlic
A bottle of Italian-style salad dressing (fat-free)
A pkg. of veggies (frozen)
A can of water chestnuts (if desired)
Pepper & salt
Season your chicken pcs with some garlic, pepper & salt. Place your chickens inside the bottom part of your crockpot/slow cooker. Next, add in all other ingredients. Afterwards, cook at high settings for about 4 to 6 hrs. or at low settings for about 8 to 10 hrs.
The dish makes 8 servings
Low-Fat Glazed Chicken In Slow Cooker Recipe
6 ozs. of frozen concentrated orange juice, thaw out
3 pcs. of chicken breast, cut in half
1/4 c. of water
1/2 teaspoon marjoram
A dash of nutmeg (ground)
A dash of powdered garlic (if desired)
2 tbsps. of cornstarch
In a bowl, mix together orange concentrate with nutmeg, powdered garlic & marjoram. Chicken should be sliced to produce 6 slices good fo serving then submerge chicken pcs. in orange concentrate mixture and make sure that they are evenly coated.
Put your chickens inside your crockpot/slow cooker then add in remainder of your orange concentrate mix on the chickens. Cook covered at low settings for about 7 to 9 hrs. or if cooking at high settings then cooking time is only 4 hrs.
After chicken as cooked, place it on a platter for seving and transfer remaining sauce into your saucepan.
Dissolve cornstarch in water then add it to the pan. Continue cooking at medium flame & stir it always until sauce thickens and bubbles. Chicken should be served with sauce on top.
Shrimp in Gumbo Sauce Recipe
3 Tbsps of all-purpose flour (Pillsbury Best)
3 Tbsps of oil
1/2 lb of sausage (smoked); sliced into half-inch
2 c of okra (frozen); cut
1 onion (large); sliced
1 green bell pepper (large); sliced
3 cloves garlic; minced
1/4 tsp of ground cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp of pepper
1 canned diced tomatoes (14 1/2 oz); undrained
1 pkg of frozen deveined cooked medium shrimps (12 oz); thawed & rinsed
Place a medium-sized saucepan with oil over medium-high heat. Whisk in the flour. Continue doing so for 3-5 minutes. Lower to medium heat; and continue stirring ’til mixture darkens (reddish-brown). Remove from heat.
Pour the flour mixture into the crockpot. Add in the sausage, okra, onions, bell pepper, garlic cloves, ground red pepper, black pepper, and tomatoes.
Stir well to blend. Cover with lid. Cook gumbo sauce on low heat for 7-8 hours. Once the sauce is done, stir in the shrimp. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes more.
Use as topping for steamed rice.
