Chicken Teriyaki Wings Recipe
16 pcs of chicken wings (3 lbs); rinsed, drained, wing tips removed & cut at the joints
1 pc of onion (large); diced
1 c of soy sauce
1 c of brown sugar
2 tsps of ground ginger
2 garlic cloves; finely chopped
1/4 c of dry cooking sherry
Combine pepper and salt in one medium-sized bowl. Toss in the chicken. Mix well. Transfer the chicken parts to a broiler pan.
Cook it about 5 inches away from the heat ’til evenly golden (approximately 15-20 minutes). When done, toss the chicken into the crockpot. Set aside.
Combine the soy sauce, onions, ginger, sugar, sherry, and garlic in a small mixing bowl. Whisk ’til well blended. Pour the mixture over the chicken. Cover with lid. Set to low.
Cook for 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally. Transfer to a platter and garnish with a sprig of parsley.
