Crockpot Honey-Glazed Chicken Recipe
1 acorn squash; peeled & sliced into chunks
1 canned broth of chicken (14.5 oz)
A dash of salt & pepper
1/2 tsp of garlic; crushed
1/4 c of honey
A dash of nutmeg
2 carrots; rinsed, peeled & coarsely chopped
2 parsnips; rinsed, peeled & coarsely chopped
4 pcs of chicken breast fillets (small); rinsed & drained
Mix the parsnips, crushed garlic and carrots in the crockpot. Spread evenly. Place the chicken breast fillets on top. Pour the broth over the chicken. Top the chicken with squash chunks.
Add a dash of nutmeg, salt, and ground black pepper. Pour in the honey. Cover with lid. Set heat to low. Cook ’til chicken is tender (approximately 8-10 hours).
