Crockpot Turkey Meatballs Recipe
1.5 c. of your fave barbecue sauce
10 ozs. jelly (apple)
2 tbsps. tapioca (as sauce thickener) * this is optional
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 beaten egg
1/4 c. of fine breadcrumbs, seasoned
2 tbsps. milk
1/4 tsp. of powdered garlic
1/4 tsp. of salt
1/4 tsp. of powdered onion
1 lb. turkey (ground)
Non stick veggie spray
Get a 3.5 – 4 qt. crockpot then mix together inside the pot your vinegar, tapioca, jelly and barbecue sauce. Cook, covered, at high settings while meatballs are in the preparation stage.
In making the meatballs, mix together powdered onion, milk, bread crumbs and egg inside a bowl. Next, add in the turkey meat and blend thoroughly.
Form the meat mixture in 1/2-3/4-inch balls. Get a large skillet and spray it with some non stick spray then add in meatballs & brown them up on medium flame. Drain of moisture from meatballs.
Place your cooked meatballs inside your crockpot then just stir it up slowly. Cook, covered, at high settings for about 1.5-3 hrs. This dish yields 30 pcs. of meatballs
