Manhattan Meatballs Recipe
1 pound of pork sausage (mild) OR beef sausages will do
1 pound of beef (ground)
2 cups of bread crumbs (soft) OR USE 1.5 c. of oats
2 tsps. of salt
2 pcs. eggs
1/2 cup of onion, chopped
2 tbsps. of parsley
1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt
For sauce:
1/2 cup of barbeque sauce
1(12-oz.) jar of fruit preserves (apricot)
Combine together all ingredients except for the sauce ingredients then form the mixture into bite-sized balls. Get your skillet then brown the balls up or you can cook them in the oven for about 15 mins. at around 450′ F or inside your crockpot for about 25 mins.
Serve on some cooked rice or on toothpicks as appetizers. Recipe makes around 4-5 doz.
