Red Rice Recipe
4-6 bacon slices, fry them up and crumble
1/2-1 c. of ham, cooked & chopped
1 big onion, chopped coarse
2 (15-oz.) cans of tomatoes, chopped
1/8 tsp. of hot sauce for seasoning
1 c. of rice (converted)
Pepper & salt for seasoning
Bacon should be fried then drained well & crumble them up. Onions should then be cooked in excess fat from the bacons until they turn soft. Mix together all the ingredients inside your Crockpot. Cook covered at low settings for about 6-7 hrs. until the rice becomes soft but they shouldn’t be mushy.
Makes 6-8 servings
